$10 tablet from India Government?

For those who mistakenly assume that Governments cant innovate, take a look at what India has done.  Granted, these look to be preliminary and basically a look to industry and individuals to push the price down further, from $35 to $10, but it is incredible that the Government of India is now able to push on private industry to do better, and faster.

    Don’t read too much into the $10 Indian tablet – article highlighted on Twitter last week suggested / showed that this is a Chinese manufactured device and is probably being subsidised by Indian Government – it’s not a sign of Indian innovention or manufacturing progress
